During a dinner with all senators of the Republic of Nigeria and President Muhammadu Buhari, Senate President Saraki stood up to introduce over 100 Senators in attendance by their names and their constituencies.

This impressed President Buhari that he stood up to give the senate president a warm handshake after his introduction.

 The Senators also demonstrated their respect for the Senate President when, apart from the two nominated by Saraki, others refuse to make further comments despite the fact that the compere said the President had granted them permission for more speakers to address the session.
