High Chief Dokpesi |
Former Chairman of Daar
Communications Group, Raymond Dokpesi has finally left Kuje prison.
He left the prison three days
after he was granted bail by Justice Gabriel Kolawole of a Federal High Court
sitting in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
The Edo high Chief's residence was filled with friends and associates from across the country to welcome him. Bisi Olatilo, Tony Okoroji were among those spotted.
Dokpesi, who is currently
standing trial on six count charge of fraud and violations of Public
Procurement Act, was however handed very stringent bail condition.
The Judge granted Dokpesi bail in
the sum of N200 million and two sureties in like sum.
The Judge also stipulated that
one of the sureties must be a civil servant of the status of serving or retired
director in the federal or state civil service.
The media guru left the high
walls of the prisons to the warm arms of his family and associates.
He shouldn't just sleep ooooo... The families of those sent to untimely graves are lurching in the crowd. Better watch your back.
ReplyDeleteThe way some people will interpret the indictment is way off than what a normal mind thinks. Dasuki has put all of them on danger list by mentioning their names as partakers of the 'loot'. Nigerians hope that this #DasukiGate won't be another soap opera to excite & distract the electorates and then 'swept under the carpet' of 'corruption history'...
Nigerians watch and wait. Is PMB different from others? Is PMB another political leader who will toy with Nigerians intelligence and be 'maradonically' tactful to 'avoid the leprosy while trying to cure eczema'?
We are watchdogs and when we raise salient questions, we expect others to think objectively and not be lopsided in their analytical reasoning... #WatchdogsOfThePolity
